We love to see the production of what the farmer has produced in stores, on shelves, in our cabinets and in refrigerators that make us happy and healthy, but what we don’t see is the sacrifices the farmer makes to be a father/mother, a grandfather/grandmother or a husband/wife to their families. Sometimes birthdays, anniversaries, special events and holidays, we all take for granted, may be a struggle mentally and physically to the farmer who is trying to be the provider, beat the rain, make up time because of equipment failure or just lack of help.
The next time you interact with a farmer, thank him/her, pray for him/her, show some kindness, compassion and support.
God has given farmers the gift of service. By serving God first, he will prosper, regardless. His Word says so. Hebrews 6:13-18. He/she is a steward of the One in charge.
It’s been hot, there’s been minimal to no rain and we will expect to have the same items available and ready to be on the shelves in stores and markets at any given time. So, thank the good Lord for a farmer today.
